Tabby Cat Yoga Postcard

The M-shaped marking on the tabby forehead is also seen on many wild cats, particularly jungle cats like cheetahs, ocelots, and tigers. Some say the M stands for the word Mau, the Egyptian word for cat. The word “tabby” comes from the Attabiy district of Baghdad, where silk pattern makers were inspired while watching these cats practicing their yoga on rugs in the market.
